One of the best things about the Mass Effect series is being able to play Commander Shepard exactly how you want to. Some people like to make Shepard a paragon of good, setting a prime example of justice and morality while serving as the galaxy's guardian. Of course, those people are totally wrong, considering the amount of hilariously badass moments you'll get from playing as a renegade. Having the weight of several worlds on your shoulders, doesn't mean you have to be a role model for all the alien children. From headbutting beings twice as big as the Commander, to dishing out incredible one-liners, Shepard has provided some of the most memorably badass moments in video game history. Bonus points if you're playing as the female Shepard, because Jennifer Hale's voice acting lends itself brilliantly to the choices with somewhat greyer morality. Shepard has always been one of the greatest player-controlled characters ever, thanks to the range of choices and some great performances.
