Mortal Kombat 11 LEAKED - Two Characters Confirmed

The Krypt has sprung a leak.

You knew it, we knew it, everyone knew it. More Mortal Kombat was always coming, but after a slew of tweets and hints from series' creator Ed Boon, Spanish language voice actor - and in no way member of Dutch's gang - José Eduardo Garza Escudero has let slip he was working on Mortal Kombat 11.

Taking to Twitter in annoyance after company Pink Noise decided not to go ahead with his performance, he first tweeted "Well finally I confirm that the 'professionals' of Pink Noise decided to remove my characters from Mortal Kombat 11", before adding that these characters were Kung Lao and Reptile.

Of course, this confirms that not only is MK 11 in development, but we're at the stage of localising dialogue across multiple regions - hinting as far as I'm concerned - at a 2019 release date, or at least an announcement very soon.

Hilariously, Escudero has since tried to walk back his embargo-breaking tweets, following up by saying he could be talking about "MKXI, MK10.5, MKXYZ or whatever." Nice try.

Interestingly, Kung Lao and Reptile being confirmed means MK 11's roster will at least include a selection of the old school MK favourites, rather than a full "all new roster", which has been rumoured and mentioned multiple times. In MK X's case it meant Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Takeda and Kung Jin appeared as daughters and cousins of legendary characters respectively, but who knows how much this affects the full MK XI lineup.
