Namco Bandai has announced today that those of us in the UK will be able to get our hands on Inversion for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as of July 13th with the PC version to be released on the 27th.
For those interested Inversion is a gravity altering shooter, think Gears of War meets that Inception scene and your half way there. Personally not being a huge fan of third person shooters I’m staying away from this one but in the ocean of shooters out there you can’t help but feel like any game trying to mix up the predetermined formula like Inversion is worth giving a try.
The plot sees an invasion of an unknown enemy wielding gravity weapons tear the world apart causing havoc with the world’s balance and creating zero gravity pockets and other weird happenings all over the cities. You play as father and cop Davis Russel, searching for his daughter alongside partner Leo Delgado in a place where normal rules of battle no longer apply.
Having already been released in the US in June it has so far received some rather mixed reviews. Only time will tell whether Inversion fairs better here in the UK, but what do you think? Have you been waiting for this game eagerly? Or is this just another drop in the already stormy shooter seas? As always we love to hear your views so let us know in the comments.
