PlayStation 4: 5 Reasons Why You Should Be Disappointed With The Launch

PS4 If, like me, you reside in the United Kingdom and stayed up until 1am this morning to watch Sony's unveiling of the PlayStation 4, you might perhaps relate with me when I complain of being in a sleep deprived state. Perhaps you will also relate with me when I say that last night's "reveal" was thoroughly disappointing. In a press conference in New York, Sony put on a great show. There were strobe lights, moody lighting techniques, a pretty damn cool video compilation to open the show and a raft of developers waiting to trot out on stage to tell us all about their latest products. They also teased the name of the new device by first putting "P" and then "S" up on the overhead screen, leaving us all to guess what the new console could possibly be called - PS "Potato?" PS "Cabbage"? No, it was the PS4, of course, happily putting an end to those horrible claims it might be called something like "Thebes". But putting all the pomp and circumstance of the occasion to one side for a moment, what we got was actually pretty unimpressive, in fact I found myself yawning, staring at the clock and wondering if it might instead be a better idea going to bed. In the end, I wish I had done. Here, we outline five reasons why you should be disappointed with the launch of the PS4. Click "Next" to get started.
