Red Dead Redemption 2: 9 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know
We've got a good look at the new map, for a start.
Yes, it's finally happening.
We actually broke the existence of what Rockstar were internally calling 'Red Dead 3' way back in November 2015, but now the team have uploaded a number of tasty teasers to their social media, culminating in a reveal that the next Red Dead is indeed coming, and will be called - wait for it - 'Red Dead Redemption 2'.
Sadly, you can (probably) quash all those 'Red Dead Rebellion'/'Red Dead Retribution' rumours right now.
It goes without saying that Red Dead Redemption is one of Rockstar's most beloved titles, not to mention many peoples' favourite game of all time, alongside telling one of the finest stories the medium has ever seen.
No pressure, then.
At time of writing, all we have to go off are a few social media posts, a leaked map from a few months ago and a ton of speculation, but that doesn't mean we can't nail some things down between now and Thursday's trailer. Starting with...

9. Weirdly, It Could Still Be Called 'Red Dead Retribution'
No sooner have Rockstar shovelled some coal into the hype fires and confirmed a new title, that many fans online took to their official page and began mining the very code of the website itself.
That resulted in the words 'Red Dead Retribution' being tucked away (source here), lining up nicely with rumours and fake adverts that have shared the same name across the last couple of years - despite not matching what the official channel have shared.
Could it be that 'Red Dead Redemption 2' is just a placeholder title for the trailer that's coming on Thursday? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense calling it 'Redemption 2' when that name alone followed Red Dead Revolver. If anything, 'Rebellion' or 'Retribution' would fit a little more comfortably.
Granted, a ton of similar 'leaks' have been debunked in regards to Red Dead Retribution, but as this latest piece of information literally comes from Rockstar's very own website - far away from the falsely constructed Facebook post that had many of us in a spin - could they be gearing up to pull another switcheroo?
