RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS For 3DS Will Cost $50 US

Which is a $10 US increase over the normal price of a 3DS game but it's because the game will require a 4GB, double that of the standard 2GB cartridge.

Capcomannounced that their upcoming game for the Nintendo 3DS Resident Evil Revelations will be much more expensive than a normal 3DS title. According to Capcom, Resident Evil Revelations will run you $50 US, which is a $10 US increase over the normal price of a 3DS game. Capcom said the issue pertains to the fact the game will require a 4GB instead of the normal 2GB cartridge. Here is the exact quote:

"A true console experience on a handheld device, Resident Evil Revelations is an epic title that offers both a single-player campaign for that classic survival horror gaming experience, and an additional RAID mode that can be played cooperatively or single player, To handle all of that data Resident Evil Revelations requires a 4GB cartridge, resulting in a higher price point."
The ten dollars (US) may not seem like much but it is a little scary we could be headed to $50 US as being the normal price point for the 3DS as developers spend more time trying to recreated console experience on these new handheld. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D will also be on a 4GB cartridge, but we don't know the price point for this game. So do you think we will be headed for a higher priced 3DS game as the norm or will these games be outliers?
