RuneScape Website Receives Huge Overhaul and New Promotional Logo

Developer/Publisher Jagex have today unveiled a brand new website for their fan-favourite MMORPG as well as a new re-vamped logo.

RuneScape is easily the World€™s most successful, widely-enjoyed Free2Play MMO around; a fact that€™s recognized by Guinness World Records (therefore must be true - Guinness don€™t lie), boasting approximately 10 million active accounts per month and over 156 million registered users in total. Developer/Publisher Jagex have today unveiled a brand new website for their fan-favourite MMORPG as well as a new re-vamped logo (pictured above). The new site promises to streamline functionality, all the while refining the RuneScape aesthetic into a more satisfying experience for its users all round. Check out this screen from their new and improved web domain (alternatively you could just go there for yourself - www.runescape.com - it€™s but a click away). Along with a new look, it contains all the important features you use day-to-day. There are a number of exciting new features as well, including: The RuneScape Wiki: The manual has now been moved over to our new, community-editable wiki. Even if you€™ve never used or edited a wiki before, it€™s really easy to do. Follow the link for details of the basic requirements for editing, and for guides on how to get started. The Events Section: There€™s a whole new section devoted to the organisation and advertisement of events. The Jagex Community Engagement team, clans and individual members of the community can put up details on the events feed and place a location pin into the events map to direct prospective attendees. RuneScape News to the Fore: News, media and social networking activity feeds have been given pride of place on our new front page, ensuring that up-to-the-minute RuneScape information is readily available at all times. It€™s always nice when a Free2Play MMO has this level of care paid to it; if it weren€™t for Jagex, Blizzard might be supreme overlords of Earth by now, and WoW time would be mandatory.
