Shenmue III Guide: Where To Find Every Chobu Chan In Niaowu (With Pictures)
New Paradise
Veering off from the Promenade is New Paradise, a haven of upbeat and trendy stores selling cool things like electronics and hats, as opposed to Buddha statues. It's also the Red Snakes' hangout, so beware! **UPDATED** The Golden Goose and Prize Café do have Chobus - thanks to the one person in the world who cared enough to tell us we were wrong.
Dinner Jet Shin
Perches atop the 't' of the giant fluorescent 'Restaurant' sign at the back of the diner.
Snowman Ice Cream
Embossed within an ice cream cone on the right hand side of the neon sign.
Mell's Café
For some reason, it's on the back of a coffee cup left behind by a customer on the table to the right of where you walk in. Bit of an odd promotion, this.
Muren Café
It took a team of 40 specialists five solid weeks to find this nefariously clandestine Chobu. It's not in the café itself, but hidden just beneath the brim of the white dummy's hat, on the top floor. Hair that isn't even there was torn out looking for this one.
Cinematic Photo
Behind the purple frame halfway up the left side of the shop. We couldn't tell you what the photo in the frame is supposed to be.
Beats of Rage
Brilliant shop name, horrible Chobu. It's under the violin scroll of the first violin on the bottom shelf, at the back. And it's a pain.
Cake Shop
Next to the lemon cake in the right-most cabinet, second shelf up.
Lord of the Hats
Well, what would you call a hat shop? Chobu is on the back wall, under a Burberry cap next to an 'A' baseball cap. Sweet Christmas this was hard to find.
Bar Riverside
Staggering between two bottles of whiskey, with red and blue labels, on the bottom shelf of the right-hand wine cabinet.
Golden Goose
This one is easy to miss, as if you try to visit the VIP area immediately after battering the Red Snakes, Ryo sheepishly refuses, knowing full well he caused a complete scene last time he was there. But you can go back downstairs, and blimmin' 'eck it's like Aladdin's Cave. Chobu can be seen in the middle of a table, beneath the glass, on the right-hand side of the exclusive lounge.
Prize Café
This Chobu actually breaks the rules, because it's technically outside the café. Before you all demand Kickstarter refunds, it's on a back of a white chair on the little patio to the rear of the first floor.
Prize Café Prize Exchange
Another nasty one. Go up the stairs, and look to the left. See all those bears? Yeh, it's not buddies with them. It's behind a plate on a little shelf on that side of the room though.
Pawn Paradise
No, Pawn Paradise isn't a dirty website. Chobu is in the left most Buddha's hand, on the table to the left of Kong Xiangshan.
