Shenmue III Guide: Where To Find Every Chobu Chan In Niaowu (With Pictures)
Blossom Road
At the end of the Promenade you'll find Blossom Road, which runs west to east and includes Hua Xiao Temple. **UPDATED** It also has a big hall with a plaque reading 'SAVE SHENMUE' that, in fact, does foster a Chobu (as well as a neat Yu Suzuki statue).
Speciality Goods
'Speciality Goods' means 'any old tat'. Chobu is hanging off a set of bells next to the cash register. This is the third Shop Card in the Niaowu Souvenir Set.
Blossom Direct
After nine hundred hours, we found Chobu between the two prints of the Great Wave off Kanagawa on the right hand wall. This is the final Shop Card in the Niaowu Souvenir Set.
SAVE SHENMUE
Not really sure why this classes as a shop, but it's a really cool little hall dedicated to the many backers who made Shenmue III possible, and it also has a Yu Suzuki statue constantly rotating like a delicious café cake or a rotisserie chicken. Anyway, Chobu is behind the big wheel on the right-hand side of the room.
Liu He Hall
In an incense pot on the bench to the left of the entrance. Spiritual.
Hua Xiao Temple
Bit of a bonus one this: look at the bottom row of slips on the third panel, up the stairs from the main hall, to find a hidden Chobu card.
Soul of Buddha
In the golden Buddha's hand, next to the capsule dispenser. This is the fourth Shop Card in the Niaowu Ancient Art Set.
Bustling Diner
The Bustling Diner is ironically empty, though you can find Chobu Chan in the log fire to the right of the counter.
Shaolin Supply
Underneath a book stand on the second shelf down in the glass cabinet, to the left of the door. You have to really wedge yourself behind the cabinet to see it. Also, this is the fourth Shop Card in the Niaowu Kung Fu Set.
Liquor Heaven
Under the shelf at the very back left of the shop, below a red jug. This is the first Shop Card in the Niaowu Chinese Food Set, and made me tear my hair out.
