Skyrim Dawnguard DLC: Beleagured Bethesda Boss Continues To Frustrate

Bethesda's beleaguered vice president of PR and Marketing continues to frustrate fans on social network site Twitter.

Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines has taken to Twitter over the last couple of days to answer questions from fans of Skyrim, some of which are still waiting for its first DLC content, Dawnguard, to arrive on the PS3. Dawnguard launched onto the Xbox 360 console way back in May, after it had been announced it would remain as an exclusive title on the Microsoft console for a period of a month. Fast forward four months, and not only is the DLC NOT on the PS3, but a successor to the content - Hearthfire, has also been released exclusively onto the Xbox. What all this means is that PS3 fan are angry. Very. Many have directed their frustration at Hines on social network site Twitter - and below are just some of the comments Hines has received over the last couple of days. One user asks Hines to admit that the content has been suspended on the console instead of stringing fans along, whilst another states that it is a "yes or no question" as to whether or not the content is coming to the PS3. There is a growing sense of frustration among the PS3 community with many gamers feeling as though they have been abandoned by Bethesda in the wake of the developers seemingly keeping the PS3 at an arms length where DLC is concerned. Each and every time Hines has been queried as to why PS3 fans are yet to receive Dawnguard, he has always referred to some unknown "performance issue". This excuse is beginning to wear a little thin now though; it's not as though the PS3 is a new console - it just seems odd that Bethesda are having supposed technical issues on a console released a whole six years ago. With all these questions put to Hines recently, there is still no real hope or expectation of seeing the content arrive on the PS3 before the new year.
