Star Wars: Battlefront - 10 Shocking Things You Need To Know

Oh EA... what have you done?

It feels like an age we've waited for a new Battlefront game, and that's understandable - part two was an entire decade ago. Thankfully, in amongst the hoopla of Batman eyeing up Superman for a showdown and the silver screen return of Han Solo himself (alongside a very well-groomed Chewie), EA dropped some in-engine footage of Battlefront to blow everyone's minds just incase you hadn't cheered enough. Now, so far what's been shown purports to be 'Game Engine Footage' isn't actually 'in-game', which is to say there's no HUD elements, the animations looked staged and not controllable whatsoever, and the overall look of everything is verging on 'too good to be true' territory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEKSEWpz40A Maybe, maybe things will actually be this spectacular when you're behind the controls, but gamers have been burned multiple times before, with Watch Dogs' initial release looking completely different to the final product despite some fancier graphics options being tucked away on the disc. Still, both EA and Dice have some pretty solid foundations to build on when it comes to pure spectacle, as the Battlefield series has been a graphical powerhouse for years. That said though, plenty other bits of information are now breaking alongside the trailer, and not all of them are positive - not at all.
