Each console has its own exclusive titles, which other consoles never get their hands on. Nintendo’s consoles have the Mario and Zelda games, the Playstation 3 gave us Uncharted, and the Xbox 360 released the Halo, the Gears of War series, amongst others.
Here are ten of the best Xbox 360 exclusives, released on disc and via the Xbox Live Marketplace, so far.
10. Blue Dragon
Blue Dragon was met with rather mixed reviews upon its release. Many critics believed that the game was missing strong characters, and devoid of a gripping story, so perhaps to many of you, this would not make it into your own lists. However, in my opinion at least, Blue Dragon is worth persevering with.
After its slow opening, the game picks up, and is quickly crafted into an enjoyable RPG with an excellent musical score. Blue Dragon was also the first ever Xbox 360 title to utilise multiple discs, giving gamers a much longer storyline, as well as space for some beautifully rendered cut scenes.
9. Tenchu Z
Set in Feudal Japan, Tenchu Z focuses on the Azuma clan, who are under the service of Lord Goda. Set in the mist of a war with neighbouring country Ogawara, players control a new recruit of the Azuma clan, who has been sent to assassinate those who are helping Ogawara.
Tenchu Z contains 50 assassination missions which vary in difficulty. It provides plenty of stealth gameplay, and whilst it can get a little repetitive towards the end, it’s still a great game.

Great list Kayleigh, completely agree with Lost Odyssey too, great game!
Thanks! It’s one of my favourite games of all time. So under-rated!
Good list. I’d disagree with a few but overall it was done well. Just so you know, the first Dead Rising game was actually ported over to the Wii. :x
Oops, I remember that coming out now “Chop Till You Drop”, although it was somewhat different from the original Dead Rising. Still, thanks for highlighting this! :)
To be fair, the Wii port was a completely different beast compared to the xbox version. The Resident Evil 4 over the shoulder cam, the smaller amount of zombies, and NPCs who could sell you things like firearms and such really made it feel like a different game altogether.
those 10 exclusives are inferior to the ps3 exclusives. Only 4 of those exclusives are decent. Dead rising was an exclusive because it came out before the ps3 launched hence why dead risng 2 is available to ps3. Now let me name 10 ps3 exclusives that can only be played on ps3;God of war 3,Uncharted 3,Heavy rain,Infamous, metal gear 4,Resistance 3,Killzone 2,Blood curse siren,Motorstorm apocalypse,Ratchet and clank tools of destruction. 10 exclusices covering a wide range of genres and age ratings. A collection that would provide fun for the whole family, all of which score 8 and above out of 10 on reputable gaming sights.
@ de-ci23
There were “many” exclusives that were on the PS3 only but have since went to xbox so what if they “were” exclusives or not ?.
And the list is the Original Posters opinion of his top games NOT a fanboys opinion of what he considers his top 10.
Notice there is no Halo there, Alan Wake, Forza 4, Left for dead 2, All the Banjo games, Best party game Dance central 2, Even Mass effect 3 which is far better with voice control through Kinect exclusive to 360.
God of war boring hack and slash nothing more if it were not exclusive it wouldn’t sell well on the 360 anyway, Resistance and Killzone not a touch on Gears or Halo in fact Halo 3 outsold both those games and more PS3 exclusives combined as will HAlo 4.
Heavy rain another game that wouldn’t sell well on the 360 it’s a boring game pressing buttons to basically do any movement throughout the game zzzzzzzz. Metal gear solid 4 was boring and if it wasn’t exclusive I bet you wouldn’t even care about it but hopefully Metal gear 5 is good as it is also going to xbox 360.
Now look at 2012 what console only games has the PS3 had worth having NOTHING.
Xbox has already had The Witcher 2, Mine craft, Trials evolution and also coming THIS year are games such as Halo 4 ,Forza Horizons,Fable The Journey, even games like Fifa 13 are going to be better with Kinect being able to choose menus, substitutions etc without pausing the game and the ref will even book you if he hears you swear, and then there is SMARTGLASS coming in about 8 weeks which will be a gamechanger.
Thanks for your opinion, but I wasn’t comparing these Xbox 360 titles to PS3 exclusives in my feature…
You’re a PS3 fan, that’s fine. I disagree that the ten games you chose are definitely better that everything on the xbox(particularly Uncharted, a series I feel is way over-hyped), but that’s why it’s your OPINION, as opposed to fact.
However, a top-ten PS3 exclusive list without Little Big Planet? For shame, sir!
Looks like someone googled top ten ps3 games and just pasted list here. No one cares bro. It’s 2012 the console war is over. FFS let it die and move on with your sad list making life bro. Your a tool.
Couldn’t agree more with Blue Dragon and Viva Pinata it’s a shame that the few minor flaws each game had seemed to overshadow the charm, wit and enjoyability of them both.
No Alan wake…. I assume this is because you have not played it yet. Pretty deplorable to not include it.
he didn’t include it because it’s also ported to PC. which confuses me because the Windows PC and the Xbox 360 were bot hmade by Microsoft, so it shouldn’t matter if PC games are on the list just as liong as they are on 360 also, i’d recommend adjusting/increasing this list.
and my bossy little brother usrev2 can just go die in a hole if he says he hated crackdown, and what makes you like fable III over Fable II sir, the beautiful loading screens? the spacious sanctuary? the more detailed map? the vivid breadcrumb trail? if i had to hate something about console exclusivity, it would have to be Insomniac Games. want to know why? try an mesage me.
Lol wow… fable 2 is one of the worst games of this generation. It’s worse then fable 3 which is also terrible.
crackdown isn’t that good either.
honestly the only game I can say “zomg yes” is viva pinata, and that is only off the top of my head.
fable sucked this generation. if it isn’t lost chapters it sucked.
halo sucked this generation as well. reach is the worst other then ODST how it is number 1 is beyond reasoning.
why isn’t banjo kazooie nuts and bolts on here?
where the heck is chrome hounds?
almost none of the games on this list were even good fail list is fail.
This is your opinion though. The list I wrote were ten games I decided on in my own opinion, I wasn’t factoring in what everyone else was going to think! :)
Good list, but just for the record Lost Odyssey was not a launch title. It was released early 2008.
And I would put Mass Effect 1 on there
Is it sad that I’m a Xbox 360 fanboy for life and I’ve never heard of half of these titles
You didn’t put the first Viva Pinata because it was released on PC yet you put Gears of War and that one was released on PC too…. weird….
Awesome list (that’s totally missing Alan Wake and Splinter Cell: Conviction, but oh well!), just wanted to point out real fast that Lost Odyssey was not an Xbox 360 launch title (came out in 2008)
@sid hahahahahahahahahahahahaha you FOOOOOL!!!!! hahaha you have no idea how STUPID you have made yourself look! what a complete idiot. do some research and play some proper video games instead of jumping around like an idiot infront of your kinect
Oh and by the way i own a piece of crap 360 too and its kids machine thats all microsoft cater for these days with the exception of halo n gears which are both the same dried up shooters they have always been.
lol at the ps3 comment, if we want linear one trick ponies we’ll let you know. if you included gears of war even though it’s on pc you had to also put alan wake as well as mass effect 1 the only good game in the series these two are probably better than all of them.
you don’t have to add these to your delicate comments section but thank you for not adding the disgrace and spit to the splinter-cell name ‘video game’(more like interactive film) conviction. It’s basically a corridor shooter that has ‘win’ buttons mapped to every part of the controller.
I can’t believe you didn’t put Mass Effect 1 in there. It was the final deciding factor in the platform decision for me.
Oh, and I also really liked lost odyssey, long though :)
