The Walking Dead: 10 Toughest Decisions So Far

There's been plenty across the game's nine episodes (so far) and we looked at some of the worst.

The real meat of the drama in The Walking Dead comics, TV show, and now the games - and really any good zombie comic, TV show, or now game - is not the hordes of zombies that are devastating humanity. I mean, that's definitely part of it, but it's far from the most interesting part. The shambling hordes are just the device to put humans into a desperate position, and to see what they do when they have to make tough decisions. Zombies are both the cage and the device poking the rats. Which is why Telltale Games' adaptation of The Walking Dead has been such a triumph. It favours not the clumsy shoot-em-up that came in the TV spin-off Survival Instinct, but that real drama the series trades in: it forces us, the players, to make incredibly tough decisions, often involving whether a character we've grown to know through the brilliantly done storytelling-based-gameplay lives or dies. That...doesn't actually make it sound like a lot of fun. Which it is! Some of the time, at least. At other times Telltale have forced us into wholly unenviable decisions, true Sophie's Choices where something bad will happen whatever we get Lee or Clementine to do, and we'll feel terrible for making those choices. There's been plenty across the game's nine episodes (so far), and with the release of In Harm's Way, we looked at some of the worst. Needless to say, spoilers abound!
