WWE 13: Attitude Era Entrance Themes May Not Be Included?

THQ have hit a licensing problem over the rights to Attitude Era theme songs.

The big selling point for THQ's latest WWE themed video game, WWE 13, is the inclusion of a large portion of the Attitude Era superstars and storylines. But for those of us who've been saving our pennies in eager anticipation of its release will be concerned by the massive stumbling block the developers are facing. In Entertainment that the rights to many of the original entrance themes have been sold on since they were last used by the WWE and nobody seems to know who to. The implications of this could be massive given the somewhat rabid nature of the hardcore wrestling fan community who are notoriously unforgiving if certain superstars don't come out to their authentic theme music. But even the casual gamer with only a passing interest in wrestling will surely feel let down if their favourite wrestler has to come down the aisle to a generic tune instead of the one they remember. It will be like all those annoying moments in the past where you've utilised CAW to bring your favourites back to life and then had to chose from a bunch of horrible default entrance tunes. But don't be too upset by all this waiting around. If THQ are this determined to get every detail correct before releasing the game then we should expect the closest adaptation in THQ's history to date. What do you think? Do you think THQ should quit stalling and release the game or is what they're doing actually a good thing? And how would you feel about former wrestlers coming to the ring with the wrong music? Is it that big a deal? Let us know what you think.
