WWE 2K17: 10 Leading Contenders For A DLC Showcase

Showcase modes that are worth paying more money for...

You know what I hate? Spending more money on a game I've already spent a lot of money on.

This is the trap gaming companies make us gamers fall into on more occasions than not by releasing content that arguably should have been included in the basic game to begin with for a small (ish) fee.

WWE and 2K have seen this gap in the market, and have worked it well over the last few titles - heck, we even found ourselves having to pay more money to play as the now defunct Los Matadores in last year's game...

But if 2K17 offers us content that feels special and as if it should compliment what's already been given to us in the basic game itself, I'm all for it.

Who didn't love the new moves pack and Legends Pack that were released as DLC for last year's game? They deserved to have an extra price tag attached to them, right?

Rather than getting a series of smaller DLC Showcase Modes that we saw with 2K15, we have to believe that we'll be given one big mode like we were with 2K16 - one big mode in the basic game (Austin), one big (ish) mode to download (2015 Hall of Fame DLC).

Here are the 10 leading contenders to fill that role...

10. Daniel Bryan Vs. The Authority

I don't know about you but I'd like to see that WrestleMania 30 main even given the 2K treatment.

The clamour for a Daniel Bryan mode has been ramped up since the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion's retirement earlier this year, and while it might have come too late to change what we're getting with 2K17, surely the option of a D-Bry DLC Showcase is still just about open.

Then again - and this is the option I'd rather see - maybe 2K will want to do Bryan's ascension to the top of the card justice by having his mode featured properly in another title down the line.

Neverthless, this is certainly a feud that would make for a compelling showcase mode. WWE and 2K might as well capitalise it while it's still fresh in all of our minds, right?
