The main single-player story mode looks anything but dull this year...

2K Games have released the new official trailer for WWE 2K19's MyCareer mode, and it's 90 seconds of absolute chaos.

Triple H, Braun Strowman, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt are all featured in the new story mode as main characters, and there's no mind-numbing WWE Performance Center tutorial in sight. Instead, your CAW will journey from the independent scene to NXT, SmackDown and then, eventually, Raw to confront 'The Game' on claims you're not good enough for his company.

It'll be interesting to see how 2K implement some of MyCareer's old mechanics into the mode. Fans will not want to be running aimlessly around backstage from their car to Gorilla, or working endless matches without much progression.

If this trailer is anything to go by, there will be a much better pacing to the story in 2K19. Check it out for yourself below.

As the trailer ends, 2K's own pre-made CAW holds the Universal Title aloft. The short vid pretty much tells the full story from beginning to end, but it's enticing to see something different from the series, especially in the uninspired MyCareer mode.

WWE 2K19 launches worldwide on 9 October. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe or any Collector's Edition will be able to play four days early on 5 October.
