75 names. How's that for starters?

2K know what they're doing.

Like the ultimate tease, one fully aware they have everyone in the palms of their hands, the developers are drip-feeding WWE 2K19 info out into the ether like the stuff is gold dust. The latest example of this taunting is 2K19's annual roster reveal. Part of it, at least.

Yes, 2K Games know what they're up to, and they're content to make eager series fans wait to see everyone who will be on the roster this year. Recently, they had Rusev, Lana and The B-Team (a quirky combination if there ever was one) sit down to discuss the first 75 names on the sheet. They're all here, and that's not all.

2K19's first batch of superstars reveals more than one might think at first glance. There are surprises aplenty hidden in plain sight, and some top names who seemingly went AWOL right before 2K compiled their list. Does that mean they'll miss out? Hardly, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Here's absolutely everything you need to know about part one of WWE 2K19's roster reveal, including a full rundown of everyone who's been announced thus far...

5. There Are Some Surprise Additions

2K haven't revealed the method behind which 75 names they decided to announce for part one of 2K19's roster reveal. It'd be fascinating to know, because nobody could have guessed that NXT stars like Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Oney Lorcan, Otis Bogojevic and Tucker Knight would be amongst them.

NXT is very well represented generally in the first raft of names. Of note, NXT Women's Champion Kairi Sane is in there, as are the brand's reigning Tag-Team Champs Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong. It is rather odd that NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa hasn't been named yet though, especially when old foe Johnny Gargano is in there.

Similarly, current NXT North American Champ Ricochet misses out on the first reveal. The man he replaced is there though, meaning no more dodgy CAWs in Community Creations for Adam Cole fanatics. Other NXT names worth mentioning include Aleister Black (who's on-disc this year) and Bianca Belair, who makes her series debut.
