Xbox One X: 9 Enhanced Games That Make It Worth Buying

6. Halo 5: Guardians

Xbox One X enhancements: 4K, HDR, 60 FPS

Halo 5: Guardians remains the most current iteration in Master Chief's six-part story, so it only makes sense that 343 Industries would decide to give its middle child one last touch-up before moving on to the finale. And boy, what an upgrade it turned out to be.

In order to fulfil the promise of a rock-solid 60 fps for the entirety of the original's campaign, 343 was forced to make sacrifices elsewhere, but no corners have had to be cut this time around.

In fact, overall clarity for John-117's quest to retrieve Cortana has improved on such a scale, that details you never knew existed are now distinguishable by the naked eye. Rear-mounted displays on standard-issue UNSC weaponry, for example, show much more than just ammo count - it just wasn't previously possible to see all of the little intricacies 343 meant for us to see.

The long and short? Halo 5 feels near-to a total remaster on the X in comparison to the base game, one that even benefits those yet to pick up a 4K TV.
