Scorsese linked with another movie!

51880403_10.jpgMartin Scorsese has been linked to yet another project that a studio is lining up the legendary director to helm! This time it's the recent best-selling children's novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret written by Brian Selznick that has been picked up by Intital Entertainment Group. The Aviator scribe John Logan is writing the script. More info from Variety... Published last month by Scholastic, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" concerns a 12-year-old orphan who lives in the walls of a Paris train station in 1930 and a mystery involving the boy, his late father and a robot. Sounds interesting, but of course Scorsese has three other potential projects lined up right now as his next feature. They are... A possible prequel or sequel to The Departed which he has never confirmed or denied, but everyone around him wants it to happen. The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal and Trial by Combat in Medieval France which sounds very cool indeed, but possibly similar to Gangs of New York.... which isn't a good thing! The 16th century Japanese feudal movie Silence, which I like the sound of very much. Interesting to see what he chooses as his next project then, all four I quite like the sound of though. The Departed sequel I think I'm interested in seeing the most but that French period duel movie sounds absolutely kick ass! source - variety
