Shia Lebeouf is Indy Jones' son?

gh.jpgLatino Review, who have been the guys in the know over the last couple of weeks are reporting that the story of Shia Lebeouf being up for the role of Indiana Jones' son that was posted over at AICN yesterday evening, is TRUE. They claim that two weeks ago, they posted this very same story but within minutes of being posted, they were told to take it down. All this indicates to me is that there has to be some truth to it, or why would they go to such lengths to take the story down, why not just deny it instead? There basis for the original story was that they spoke to Lebeouf a few weeks ago who said this... "I can't really say because.... put it this way, I'm trying to work something out to be in the next Steven Spielberg movie.€ Next Spielberg movie.... well that can only be Indiana Jones IV which remember, is set to be in cinema's MAY 2008. How on Earth they are going to get it completed for that time I don't know, not even War of the Worlds which was rushed like crazy managed that tight a schedule. Here's some more on the situation from the site... When I pressed him if it was Lincoln, Shia laughed it off. He just gave me a look saying €œNO WAY!" Then when I asked him point blank if it was Indy IV. He put on a devilish smile and said €œI'm trying to work it out. I don't want to loose the role to another actor so I really can't say much but it will be announced very soon.€ You know as soon as I heard this, my gut feeling was that it was true. For some bizarre reason, Spielberg likes this guy and pushed for him to be cast in the huge summer Transformers movie that he is producing. Great, that's all we need an annoying kid to play off Indy. One of the major criticisms I gave Rocky Balboa in my review was the guy that they cast to play his son was not able to anywhere near Sylvester Stallone's acting or presence on screen. His character was given no depth and the guy that he got to play him couldn't act. I fear this may turn out the same way. INDIANA JONES DOESN'T NEED A KID, if Sean Connery is to return for the movie (which I presume he probably will) then that's enough family tension that we will ever need for Indy on screen. I hope this isn't true, but I'm around 93% certain this all sounds legit... What do you think about the prospect of Indiana Jones & Son on screen? source - latino review, aicn
