The American Film Institue has named it's seventh annual top ten movies of the year and compared to 2005 it's a much more light hearted list. Whereas last year's was mostly made up of serious movies such as
Capote,
Brokeback Mountain,
Crash,
Syriana and
Munich, this year's list is full of comedies. Here is the list, found through

The Devil Wears Prada? Are you kidding me? I know lists are all subjective but Jesus Christ how on earth does that crap manage to get on the list ahead of
The Departed or
The Prestige.
Happy Feet sticks out like a sore thumb as well but it's good to see
Little Miss Sunshine get some love. I've yet to see it but the film was universally praised by just about everyone who saw it, hopefully I will get chance to watch it before the end of the year.
