Daniel Espinosa's forthcoming thriller
Safe House has
just added a few enticing names to it's already high profile cast. We already know that Denzel Washington stars as a master criminal who is being escorted to a new secure local by young agent Ryan Reynolds after some assassins destroy the CIA-operated safe house, in what is kind of a modern day take on the 3:10 to Yuma dilemma. And now
Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges),
Robert Patrick (T2),
Sam Shephard (Assassination of Jesse James) &
Liam Cunningham (currently on screen in BBC1's sci-fi Outcasts) are moving in too to help chew the scenery to bits.

Scripted by David Guggenheim & recently re-drafted by Terry George (Hotel Rwanda), Safe House marks Denzel Washington's first bad guy role since his Oscar winning turn in Training Day, which in itself a reason enough to look forward to this. Filming begins next week for a February 10th 2012 release, which happens to be exactly a year from Thursday.
