Bruce Willis & Samuel L. Jackson OFF Black Water Transit

unbreakable.jpgThe crime movie Black Water Transit will finally begin filming this week but it won't be with the faces we were expecting. Back in February, we reported that Tony Kaye was to direct his first mainstream film since American History X with Black Water Transit which would team Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson for the fifth time. Variety today report that both actors are off the movie and instead it will be Laurence Fishburne, Karl Urban and Brittany Snow starring but Kaye is still on board to helm.
Black Water Transit€ follows the divergent agendas of criminals, cops and lawyers as they collide over a shipment of illegal firearms and a double homicide.
Fishburne and Urban then aren't quite the star power of Jackson and Willis but this movie is sold for me on the fact that Kaye is directing. The problems Kaye had with Edward Norton during the post-production of American History X is legendary and it was such a horrible experience for Kaye that nearly ten years have passed without him working on another mainstream film. The question with Black Water Transit is does he still have it? Does he feel like he has something to prove after the Norton business?
