COGAN'S TRADE will re-team Jesse James, Robert Ford & 'Assassination' director Andrew Dominik!

Forget everything else that is in production, I now have a new film that tops my most anticipated list! There's an Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford (surely in the top 3 movies made this last decade?) reunion brewing, as Andrew Dominikis gearing up to begin pre-production on George V. Higgns' Boston based crime story Cogan's Trade. Dominik has wrote the script based on the novel he only optioned last week (but has reportedly been writing on spec) which excitedly cast Brad Pitt yesterday, has Casey Affleck already attached and they could soon be joined by the other Ford brother, Sam Rockwell! That's a Jesse James reunion that has me salivating at the mouth! Dominik is said to be looking at Rockwell, Mark Ruffalo and Javier Bardem to beef up his ensemble cast, which is kind of a more serious 'Ocean's Eleven' heist film. Pitt would lead as €œJackie Cogan, a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game under protection of the mob.€ Casey Affleck said recently;
€œIt€™s a novel that was set in Boston that€™s not going to be set in Boston unfortunately,€ Affleck noted at the time. €œBut it€™s a novel that was set in Boston, it€™s a great novel and he€™s got a great take on it. There€™s a lot of good people in it, it€™s going to be a great movie.€
Boy he wasn't kidding, was he? If Dominik can get the cast together he wants, this one will film early next year, over-taking Dominik's Marilyn Monroe biopic with Naomi Watts which was in trouble anyway given the rival film starring Michelle Williams.
