Dallas cuts ties with cast.....except John Travolta!

200px-Dallas_logo.jpgThe movie adaptation of the 1970's tv show Dallas has temporarily been put on hold as all of the cast (except John Travolta who will still star as J.R. Irwing) have been cut. The decision has been made to downsize the $65 million budget of the film by going for actors that will work for lower money. The actors that have been cut are Luke Wilson who was set to play Bobby Irwing, Shirley McClaine who was to star as Miss Ellie and talks between Meg Ryan for the role of have Sue Ellen have now been scrapped. Sounds like somebody got a little shaky about the prospects of the film's success and it's probably a good thing because the budget was way to high for this type of movie. The audience level is going to be limited for it, I mean nobody under the age of 25 is going to care about Dallas because they are probably to young to remember anything about it. The studio are hoping to have completed casting by January for a cinema release later in the year. source - variety
