Dan Aykroyd was on
CISN Country radio station yesterday and he revealed that a new
Ghostbusters movie is going ahead. A third movie has been talked about for around 15 years, with the problem as far as I understand it always being that
Bill Murray wasn't prepared to give away the rights to the franchise. It looks like those issues have been resolved. More info from

Aykroyd said that the film will be CGI and Bill Murray has agreed to do the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman. No word on whether Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson or any other of the original actors will return to voice their characters. CGI! Well I can't say I'm all that excited for a Ghostbusters CGI movie, just like I wasn't for a
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGI movie. I wouldn't have minded seeing a Ghostbusters movie with the characters the age they are now. I think it could have been a fit nostalgia ride and the franchise isn't like
Indiana Jones. These characters were never in shape anyway, the humour came from their great comedic timing. So it's another franchise from the 80's that we all grew up with getting the sequel treatment. Only
Back to the Future franchise left.... how long till we see another movie in that franchise? You can hear the audio interview for yourselves by
