David Gordon Green in final talks for Innocent Man

torontoportraitv.jpgBack in December, we told you that George Clooney had bought the rights to the John Grisham novel The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town. No director had been attached at that point, but three months on it sounds like we might have our man. The Hollywood Reporter are claiming that David Gordon Green is in final talks to write and direct the adaptation. The John Grisham novel tells the true story of Ron Williamson who was sent to Death Row in Oklahoma for 11 years for a murder he didn€™t commit. What made it worse was that the real culprit of the crime gave an eye witness testimony against Williamson in court. Green, only 31, has made a flurry of small independent pics, most recently Snow Angels with Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell which Warner Brothers hope to release sometime next year. The movie was only produced for $5 million! It's always great to see young directors getting the opportunity to shoot these exciting projects, looking forward to this. source - the hollywood reporter, coming soon
