Are Warner Bros. about to announce a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie... again?

DC Entertainment to reveal their future film strategy next month.

I just wonder whether Warner Bros. are ready to come out and put their neck on the line by giving fans a rough release date for a Justice League movie in this new "DC Strategy" proposal that studio exec Dan Lin tells Collider is to be announced next month. We sincerely hope so. Marvel are so far ahead of DC right now in terms of future planning that if they don't get their act together fast - any attempt to make a JLA movie is going to look second rate compared to Marvel's well-thought out execution of The Avengers movement. A release date of 2011 is obviously too soon for JLA, 2012 could be the summer of a new Batman movie, so 2013 - we think? Is it time for Warner Bros/DC to come out and say it's happening, now live with it. Asked about the JLA movie, Lin tells the site;

It's on-hold right now as DC sorts out its strategy but as you've talked to Alan Horn and Jeff Robinov it seems like they're building to Justice League instead of going with the team movie first and doing individual movies after that... They're unveiling their DC strategy in January so you'll hear more about that and they'll speak about that in the new year.
As we know, the only movie currently in active development with a shooting start and a release date is Green Lantern (June 17th 2011), to be led by Ryan Reynolds and directed by Martin Campbell. Which leaves gaping tentpole holes for 2012, 2013 and beyond - dates which we previously heard DC wanted to unleash TWO films a year upon us. So is it time to say... 2011 - Green Lantern & The Flash (would have to be late 2011) 2012 - Wonder Woman & Batman 3 2013 - Super Max (the Green Arrow movie), Justice League (also featuring Superman, and maybe a new Batman... leaving Nolan's franchise separate from the rest?) Warner Bros. have just broken records for the $2 billion domestic gross they have taken in 2009 and with the successful Batman and Harry Potter franchises behind them, they are the leading studio in Hollywood, and own the rights to some of the most recognisable characters in pop-culture. If Marvel can make a movie like Thor, then what's the hold up on The Flash? I just really want some answers. I want DC Entertainment to have the balls of Marvel and come out and say Justice League is hitting 2013, and we are going to build to it with individual movies from Green Lantern, etc. Tell us you are looking at directors. Tell us you what your big goal is. Release some early artwork, or something. It's 2010 in a few days, it's about frikkin' time we got the ball rolling on this because God knows what WB are waiting for. Superman Returns was three and a half years ago and you still haven't released a film featuring any of the other costumed superheroes from the JLA yet?
