Hugh Grant exits LOST FOR WORDS

Hugh Grant has exited the only film on his upcoming CV because of "creative differences". The rom-com LOST FOR WORDS that was to see him play a British actor hired for a Chinese production where he ends up in a love triangle with the films director (to be played by Zhang Ziyi) and his language translator (un-cast), is still going ahead once Grant's role has been re-cast. Variety hint towards the actor's disliking of the script which forced him to pull out of the only paycheck he had forthcoming. Though to be fair, that's not because he doesn't get offered roles... it's because Grant is notorious for not particularly enjoying acting and will usually do no more than one film every eighteen months. Acclaimed Danish director Susanne Bier, who last year made her Hollywood debut with THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE, will still direct from a screenplay by the writing genius who has helped Sacha Baron Cohen form the characters of both Ali G and Borat. His name is Dan Mazer, and he is credited as being the director on Cohen's BRUNO. Presumably... Ewan McGregor, Orlando Bloom, Colin Farrell and Colin Firth top their list of replacements.
