Joseph Gordon-Levitt In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES But As Who?

Chris Nolan's philosophy on casting seems to be - impress him in a movie and he'll find a role for you again in his next film. Deadline report that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to appear in The Dark Knight Rises - his casting now inevitable as I can't imagine the actor turning the gig down! Levitt becomes the second Inception actor cast in the new Batman movie after Tom Hardy's hiring as Bane and as two of the stand-outs from Nolan's Oscar nominated cerebral blockbuster, we can't be all that surprised to see their placing on the cast sheet here. Levitt's role, inevitably, is being kept mysterious so far. On paper, the 29 year old would seem a good fit for The Riddler and indeed he spent much of the summer of 2010 rumoured and the subject of fan lobbying for the part but Nolan has already ruled out an appearance from Edward Nygma. So who could he be? (I've included The Joker and The Riddler in the poll, just for fun but please feel free to suggest others)... Suggestions by you guys so far: Zsaz (though he was already in Batman Begins by a different actor, so that's unlikely), Black Mask (3 of you) so I've added him to the poll, Nightwing. Filming begins in May and the cast is solid - Christian Bale (Batman), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle/Catwoman), Tom Hardy (Bane), Gary Oldman (Gordon), Michael Caine (Alfred) and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox). So, what role for Levitt? A friend of Wayne's, a cop on Gordon's task force, Deadshot, Hugo Strange? You know Nolan said he would never re-cast The Joker... but maybe Levitt changed his mind?
