Madsen spills Tarantino's idea on a Vega Brothers film
Michael Madsen has been talking to CHUD recently when the conversation changed to the subject of the long discussed Vega Brothers project. The movie of course would revolve around Madsen's character Vic Vega in Reservoir Dogs and John Travolta's character Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction who are said to be brothers. Here is what he had to say... "Well, first he said he would do it, then he said he wasnt going to do it. Then he called me and said, You know, Ive figured out a way to do it. It cant be a prequel because you and John dont look the same. It wouldnt make sense as a sequel because youre both dead. And he gave me an idea that would be really outrageous that John and I would be the twin brothers of Vic and Vincent. We come from Amsterdam to LA to avenge the deaths of our brothers. I think thats pretty interesting. For me, Id love to do it." It ain't ever going to happen guys but I thought it would be fun to think about anyway. I think they could still do it as an "unofficial" sequel, who cares if they died in Reservoir Dogs, just don't mention it and have them play characters with a different name, or something. And of course Madsen would love to do it. Nobody utilizes him better than Tarantino. In other people's movies he ain't nothing but just another actor but when he works with Tarantino he becomes the coolest guy of the movie. source - chud, joblo
