Major Plot Details From THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

No matter how much Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros tried, it was always going to be an impossible task to stop major plot details and indeed spoilers from The Dark Knight Rises leaking, even at this early a stage when filming hasn't begun yet. Although I'm flagging this post as a spoilerish one today, you are going to hear the majority of this information over the next 15 months anyway one way or another as most of it will appear in the posters/trailers/press releases campaign. Devin Faraci at Badass Digest (and now confirmed by Jett at BOF) say Batman's main antagonist of The Dark Knight Rises are The League of Shadows that are;
Headed by Talia Al€™Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn€™t know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows
We already know Tom Hardy is Bane and that Marion Cotillard is likely to play Talia and to be honest, we kind of expected a return of Batman Begins' League of Shadows and the Talia/Bane plotline above. What we didn't necessarily expect was Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing a villain (I had him pegged for a good guy cop on Gordon's task force) and it brings up a whole host of possibilities as to who he could be (Black Mask, Dr Strange, The Penguin, Deadshot). Here's our ever popular poll to try and decipher just that... I also wonder if Talia and The League of Shadows appearing means a return for this guy... Badass Digest also has info on Anne Hathaway's Catwoman (basically her whole character arc in linear notes) but anyone who has ever read a Catwoman story, probably expected this to happen in the film anyway. So now that the basic outline of how Chris Nolan plans to continue the story that ended in The Dark Knight has been revealed... what's your thoughts on how the new movie is shaping up? Are you going as nuts as I am? What deals would I have to make with the devil to fast forward to July 2012 so I could see this film tomorrow?
