Matt's prayers are answered. Stopping Power is cancelled!

The awful sounding Jan De Bont thriller starring John Cusack has lost it's financing and is now dead. Hurray!

John Cusack thriller Stopping Power for a while now, even going so far last to week to pray this movie wasn't going ahead. Don't get me wrong it wasn't because of John Cusack, I think he's great... it's just we've seen this thriller about a guy who is out to rescue his kidnapped daughter a million times before. We don't need to see this plot again, and especially not with Cusack who has done more crap recently (with the exception of 1408, which I should finally see this week) than Uwe Boll. Not to mention the fact that Jan De Bont is directing. He hasn't made a decent film for years. Well according to Variety, principal photography on the $40 million film has been cancelled after it's big financial investor pulled out. The movie is dead and will no longer be happening. Come on John, you were way too good for this production anyway.
