Mel Gibson's got a HANGOVER 2!

Mike Tyson appeared €˜memorably€™ as himself in last year€™s sleeper hit comedy €˜The Hangover€™, the second most famous air-drumming to Phil Collins of the 21st century thus far. Personally, I preferred his cameo in €˜Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles€™ where he was found meditating under a tree; genius. Now the producers of inevitable sequel €˜The Hangover 2€™ have continued the trend of hiring controversial celebrities willing to poke fun at their current unfavourable image with the announcement that Mel Gibson will be playing a tattoo artist that the gang meet in Bangkok. Fans of the passable Robin Williams/Billy Crystal buddy flick €˜Father€™s Day€™ will undoubtedly be over-joyed as this will see Mel (probably) re-visiting a similar character from that movie, where he stared vacantly into the middle distance whilst covered in tattoos and body piercings. Whilst Gibson does have fine comedy chops, and its strangely nice to see the man back on the big screen, my main hope for this role is that it saves Jodie Foster€™s black comedy €˜The Beaver€™ from gathering dust on the shelf. The low-budget comedy saw Mel as a CEO in a breakdown who finds a tatty beaver puppet and uses it to help him deal with a crisis. Meanwhile €˜The Hangover 2€™ is filming in Bangkok, before the production moves to Thailand. The comedy sequel is set for release on May 27th 2011, and below is a first look at the film which we know now won't hold a reprisal of Heather Graham's character.

Owain Paciuszko hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
