Mike Myers makes his return as the Love Guru

mike_meyers66729329_150—200.jpgIt's been four years now since Mike Myers was in a live action movie. That of course was the super flop The Cat in the Hat, where he was in a suit for the whole movie. Since then, the only acting Myers has done is voicing the character of Shrek for both the second movie and this summer's upcoming third flick, as he has taken a little sabbatical away from film. Love Guru will be the film for him to return with, to be helmed by Austin Powers: Goldmember producer and second-unit director Marco Schnabel who will be making his directorial debut. Myers co-wrote the script with Graham Gordy. The plot is said to follow an eccentric Indian Guru named Pitka, who is called in to solve a romantic couple's problems. Like most of his previous incarnations, Myers has been using the character in various stage performances under the guise of a white robe, fake nose and beard. Same old shit from Myers then. If this attempt to create himself a new character fails, then what's the odds on him resurrecting his Austin Powers character? I really wouldn't be surprised. source - variety, coming soon
