Oliver Stone to return to 9/11
World Trade Center director Oliver Stone is to return to the events of 9/11 for the politically charged movie Jawbreaker. The movie will focus on America's response to that dreadful day with the invasion of Afghanistan and the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. The script is being re-written by Cyrus Nowrasteh who wrote the NBC mini-series Path to 9/11 and is based on the writings of Gary Bernsten who was part of the CIA effort to end the Taliban's rule. Apparentaly Stone had bought the rights to direct the flick some months ago but kept it quite so that his conterversial movie World Trade Center could be released without audiences aware of his future plans. There is no word yet on when Stone will start work on the movie. "Let it go" is the reaction I have from this. Stone really bugs me as a director, World Trade Center was such a hollywoodised version of the events of 9/11 that it often left me feeling a little sick when I was watching it in the cinema. Now he wants to tell us about America's invasion of Afghanistan? More American propaganda from him. source - variety, coming soon
