Peter Jackson's First THE HOBBIT Video Diary Is Full Of Nostalgia

As soon as Howard Shore's delightful music from The Lord of the Rings kicks in on this firstvideo production diary from Peter Jackson on the set of The Hobbit and I'm instantly transported back to the magic of the early 2000's when I was fully engrossed by this franchise. Long before Obsessed With Film, these movies were the subject of my obsession with cinema for so many years. It's pretty much impossible to watch this meaty 10 minute video diary below without feeling a massive wave of nostalgia for that time, especially as Jackson looks to be emulating so closely the set designs of what he made Tolkien's Middle-Earth look like on film. Seeing Peter Jackson on this set and talking about the The Hobbit- it's really hard to imagine anyone else directing these movies. It's even harder to believe all the trouble that it took to get these movies into production over the last eight years of so... because seeing Jackson on this set just feels so right. This video diary really got to me today. I'm so happy that in Wellington, New Zealand, Peter Jackson is working on the Lord of the Rings universe again along with Gandalf, Bilbo, Gollum, Alan Lee!!! and all the familiar faces who made LOTR so great and are now making The Hobbit... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqaUk-r8DBk
