Routh keen to work with Bale for Justice League movie

Justice League of America movie has now been turned in to Warner Brothers and truth be told, it looks like the film might be actually be happening sometime down the road. It certainly won't be happening before The Dark Knight and Superman: The Man of Steel (which is set to begin prepping early 2008 after Bryan Singer finishes work on Valkyrie) are released but after that the possibility is certainly there. Superman himself, Brandon Routh has spoken to IESB about the JLA movie, and he reveals that he knows about the script being turned in and although he hasn't read it, the idea of the movie appeals to him and he is keen to work with Christian Bale. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE BRANDON ROUTH SHORT INTERVIEW Warner Brothers have to be really cautious here and there's so many different factors involved in this. We know that Christopher Nolan has a Batman trilogy in mind which will likely finish up with the last film in 2010 or 2011, so he won't want anyone else to use his Batman character up until then. So if they were to go ahead with a JLA movie before 2011, it would have to be either using the character of Batman under the direction of another director and likely against the wishes of Nolan (as it may and probably would effect his franchise) or do a JLA movie that doesn't involve the Batman character which will likely hurt the potential revenue of such a movie. Also you have to consider whether Christian Bale would want to do a team-up JLA film which will be far less dark and serious than his Batman movies with Nolan. Personally, any sort of Batman and Superman team-up is a sure fire way to kill both franchises together in one go. I'm not saying it couldn't work because I truly believe a team-up movie could work as it does in SOME (but surely not all) comic tales but it would have to be with a clearly defined agenda and in a storyline that's clever and makes sense. Otherwise you could kill two huge money making revenues in one go and that's not good after it's taken so long to get Batman and Superman back on our screens.
