Rumour: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing Alberto Falcone In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?

Comic Book Movie have the worst track record of any film site on the internet for casting rumours, usually posting at least one false story per day (somebody once told me of the frightning policy they have of allowing anyone to publish a story with very little to no vetting going on) - however, I like what the rumour is suggesting, so I'm posting this as 'something to think about as a possibility'. Or, something that would be cool rather than something that's definitely happening. So CBM say they have heard from an anonymous source that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's mysterious role in The Dark Knight Rises (which I hadn't known was officially a done deal yet) is that of Alberto Falcone, the son of mob boss Carmine Falcone (played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins) - a major character from Jeph Loeb's The Long Halloween. The idea is that Falcone has returned to Gotham to reclaim the city Batman helped take away from his father. Perhaps then he is the one who hires Bane (Tom Hardy), and /film point out something interesting - in the Catwoman: When in Rome storyline, Selina Kyle believes she is the daughter of Carmine - so there could be some brother/sister dynamic in development here. Certainly Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt look similar enough to be related. Everybody knows that Nolan is a big fan of The Long Halloween having used both Falcone and his mob boss rival Salvatori Maronie (Eric Roberts) as major cogs in the wheel of his previous two films, and with both of those guys future's looking bleak (Maroni could be dead after that car accident Two-Face caused, and Falcone was last seen insane in Arkham) - there could be room to add a new mob villain in there. Though I can't help but think this rumour has just started because somebody has read The Long Halloween and saw the physical likeness between Levitt and the character Tim Sale drew. Interesting one to think about here.... and way more interesting than the OWF readers choice of Levitt playing Dick Grayson/Robin. Do you guys REALLY want to see that?
