Scorsese to sing Bob Marley's praises

Variety's headline but it's the only thing I could come up. I will try harder next time. Martin Scorsese is not just getting a second wind with his awesome feature films this century but he's re-finding his love for music too. Some of the best reviewed documentaries recently have been Scorsese's docs on Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones and he has set his sights on Bob Marley next, with a new project that has been fully authorized by Marley's estate and is set for a release on February 6th 2010, on what would have been the singer's 65th birthday.

"I am thrilled that the Marley family will finally have the opportunity to document our father's legacy and are truly honored to have Mr. Scorsese guide the journey," son Ziggy Marley said.
For those who don't watch documentaries, I can't recommend Scorsese's Dylan biopic enough. The best look at the man I have ever seen, way more impressive that I'M NOT THERE, though that is still a decent movie if rather confused movie. Marley should make for an interesting 2 hour look into his life. First though Scorsese has to direct his next masterpiece with DiCaprio.
