Tony Gilroy will direct his script for THE BOURNE LEGACY!!

Tony Gilroy famously agreed to write an early draft of 'The Bourne Ultimatum' on the condition that he would never have to meet or speak to director Paul Greengrass. The reason? Gilroy was pissed over Greengrass' creative license over how he shot the 'The Bourne Supremacy', claiming it was so far removed from what he had written, that it was simply unrecognisable. Now it seems Gilroy will get the chance to tell his Bourne movie, the way he wants to tell it. Deadline say Gilroy, director of the excellent 'Michael Clayton', and the complex, overly pretentious but still respectable 'Duplicity', has agreed to direct Universal's fourth Jason Bourne installment, titled 'The Bourne Legacy', which he also wrote. No word yet on whether Matt Damon will return (he's mega loyal to Greengrass, so who knows?) but I'm 99% certain the days of the shaky-cam that Greengrass introduced are gone for the 'Bourne series'. I hated it in the second movie, but Greengrass perfected it in the third and I think I have grown so affectionate to it that I will miss it once it's gone.
