Universal greenlights Clive Owen's BBC mini-series

451002.jpgAlthough I'm been scratching my head trying to remember this series, I seriously have no recollection of it. Variety are reporting that the 1999 BBC mini-series Second Sight which starred Clive Owen as DCI Ross Tanner is set to get a big screen adaptation. Apparently the show revolved around Owen's detective character who was struggling to solve a murder before he went blind. The show was popular enough to get several sequels and a run of U.S. television on PBS. It's expected that Universal will go after Clive Owen to try and get him to reprise his role for the movie but whether or not the actor would want to return to the character after making a big name for himself in big hollywood movies is something only he can answer.
