Voltron movie is a go!
Transformers, I think we all kinda guessed it wouldn't be long until developments were made on a Voltron movie. Surprisingly though, the movie looks favourite to be picked up by New Regency (a sub department of 20th Century Fox) in what is one of the highest profile movies ever made under their banner. Described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico, five ragtag survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth's invaders. Just like Transformers, I have very little knowledge of Voltron so probably the little I say the better. It sounds pathetic to me and Michael Bay has pretty much killed the idea of fighting robots for me, so I don't think this one is going to be for me. The script comes from Justin Marks which is a name which is going to be cropping up a lot in the future I feel. He is the scribe behind the upcoming movies Street Fighter and Masters of the Universe.
