There's the great superhero question that comes up when thinking about Batman comics. Why hasn't Batman killed The Joker after all the murderous things he has done in the past (including the killing of many Robins) and lets him continue to breath when all rational thoughts says....kill him. Well, the simple answer to the question is that The Joker sells comics, so they could never fully kill him off, but is there a deeper psychological question at work? Is it that Batman needs The Joker for a reason to live, and vice-versa. If The Joker never existed, would the world ever need Batman? The question is asked in many other genres, such as the Western. The killing of the bad guy, leaves the good gunslinger with no purpose to live in the town.... so he wanders off and leaves for good. That's pretty much the premise of this upcoming movie........

Coming Soon are telling us that Dreamworks Animation have acquired the spec script
Master Mind, with
Ben Stiller and
Stuart Cornfeld on board as producers.
DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson are attached to make their feature film directorial debut with Master Mind, a satirical take on the superhero genre centering on a supervillain who loses his joie de vivre after accidentally killing his archrival, Uberman, in the opening scene of the movie.
If made in a serious tone, this could be great viewing. I might have preferred the tale to be told in live action but still this has potential. source -
