X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Official Plot Synopsis Includes Armageddon!

Over the weekend, 20th Century Fox revealed the plot synopsis for X-Men: First Class which is more or less the first official line we've had on what the new Matthew Vaughn directed reboot is about;
X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto€™s Brotherhood and Professor X€™s X-Men.
Now some bloggers got all excited and jumped to the conclusion that the mention of 'Armageddon' was hinting that an appearance from the mutant by the name of Armageddon was forthcoming, and I think when Fox put out this press release they knew exactly what they were doing to fuel a red herring. Clearly Armageddon (despite it being spelt with a capital A) refers to 'the end of the world'. There is no reason to think otherwise. X-Men: First Class opens June 3rd, just over six months time. Posters/Teaser Trailers/Official Photo's must be forthcoming? Don't know about you but I'm desperate to see Fassbender/McAvoy as Magneto/Xavier.
