Creating music history is something Metallica have become accustomed to, but even they had to be proud when they officially became the first major music act to play on seven continents.
Yes, they capped off their World Guinness Book of Records feat in 2013 when they rocked out in Antarctica enclosed inside a dome. Due to the icy conditions, the band didn’t have access to their traditional amps. Instead, the music was fed into headphones of those who attended the peculiar performance.
To celebrate the monumental feat, the group released a documentary to commemorate it. Entitled Freeze ‘Em All, the footage features the historic concert, as well as some behind-the-scenes takes of the group as they prepare for the cold challenge ahead.
