A New Year means new music, and 2013 is looking to be a great year for just that. This year will have album releases from some of the biggest names in music, new artists, and returning favorites. Some of these artists have also announced tours in honor of these new records. There are sure to be more than ten new releases coming out this year, but these are the ones that should be kept on your radar.
The following is a list of the 10 most exciting sounds of 2013.
10. Daft Punk – Untitled New Album
Electronic French duo, Daft Punk is one of the most recognizable names in music. Besides their score for Tron: Legacy, they haven’t had a new studio album since 2005’s Human After All. Their often rumored and long awaited album should finally be released this year. If that isn’t a reason for fans of the masked group to be excited, then it’s the rumors of a nationwide tour that will. Daft Punk has not had an official tour in five years.
In a world filled with EDM and dub step, it would be a breath of fresh air to have the pioneers of electronic music to come back and reclaim their throne.
