Who doesnt love a good guitar solo? Although when Guitar Hero came out, the creators proclaimed it the death of Air Guitar, that series has itself keeled over and been buried under a wealth of plastic instruments and embarrassing bedroom-posturing. There are a couple entries where Ive paired guys together, being that their careers are based off duel-lead guitar lines and tag-teamed compositions, complimenting each others playing to make the overall sound recognisable as both artists. This is a list for guitarists that are either still making waves in 2013 or are fairly new to the overall gamut of talent thats emerged since the likes of Link Wray and Les Paul put some balls behind their instruments (literally and metaphorically) and redefined the entire soundscape of music. Now with the likes of lists such as this, and music in general, theres going to be a wealth of subjectivity embedded within what always sets out to be an otherwise objective list, so please weaponise your torches and pitchforks in comment form down below if you see fit.
