15 Greatest Fictional Bands Of All Time

14. The Lone Rangers (from Airheads)

Rock Star Mark Wahlberg
20th Century Fox

Maybe you're not supposed to pluralize The Lone Ranger, but that doesn't mean you can't pluralize The Lone Ranger. What, you're going to tell Brendan Fraser, Adam Sandler, and Steve Buscemi they can't play it loose with grammar? These guys wipe their buttholes with grammar, okay!

The record big wigs didn't get on board with this band until they decided to bust into a radio station brandishing (fake) guns and demanding airtime for their song, but then again, those corporate fat cats wouldn't have cared if The Lone Rangers entire debut album was just Pip farting on a snare drum, so it's tough to trust their judgment.

The song in question, "Degenerated", is a metal cover of a song by punk band Reagan Youth, and it would make Lemmy Kilmister proud.

The only thing cooler than the bass line intro to this song is the fact that Frasier is legitimately singing those grunge-y lead vocals.

Best Song: "Degenerated"

It's hard to find cover songs that are better than the originals, and even harder to find them in movies, but this one knocks it out of the park.
