6 Popular Songs With Meanings Nobody Knows

5. Champagne Supernova - Oasis

Champagne Supernova has become a popular choice for weddings, but is it actually a love song? At this point, it seems to be anybody's guess.

Among its more confusing aspects is an allusion to walking slowly but yet being 'faster than a cannonball'. Other parts reference a landslide metaphor, something Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher was reportedly inspired to include after looking at a sugar jar.

Again, there seems to be no shortage on theories as to what some hidden message might be. One hypothesis is that it is telling the story of someone whose life has been ruined by drug use. Another is that it's about a love gone wrong, which would make its frequent use at weddings all the more ironic. There's even one theory that the song is about a car from the movie Grease. Okay...

I like to think I'm a clever person, but apparently I'm not clever enough to come up with a witty biography.
